These are "AppleDouble" files, it appears. Technical info on AppleDouble. Human friendly explanation. Someone with a Mac care to dig into the .08.jpg file? It seems to be the meatiest. --Mr z 19:50, 25 November 2007 (PST)

  • Hmm... did a little more digging, and figured out that about 49K of the 50K ._08.jpg file is just a 160x100 JPEG thumbnail of the full file. I'm guessing these are just Macintosh metadata files that they forgot to clean up. --Mr z 19:54, 25 November 2007 (PST)
